No hay un espacio en los cuadros de Pilar Insertis donde no se encuentren insinuaciones, desarrollos simbólicos, formas, estructuras y escondrijos multicolores que apenas disimulan el tesoro de una imaginación desbordante y de unos ardientes deseos de comunicarse con el vacío. ¡Qué grandioso espectáculo “invadir” el vacío y darle señas de identidad propias! Una obra plagada de pensamientos esculpidos en una creativa atmósfera de silencio al que acompañan un mundo de colores, espacios, emociones, sentimientos, ideas, tonalidades, “fronteras transparentes”... que nos acercan a un universo de totalidades dentro de totalidades, holones dentro de holones.

En su obra podemos reconocer tres elementos: cuerpo, alma y espectáculo. El movimiento desenvuelto, sensible y dinámico de sus manos, se convierte en algo más que en una mera funcionalidad bien entrenada. Es el instrumento de la actividad de la artista inspirada e involucrada en el gran proceso creativo.

Con gran maestría, Pilar Insertis ayuda a “lo Otro” a emerger de la oscuridad y logra transformarlo en algo tangible y próximo, pero sin privarlo de su propia naturaleza, permitiendo que los distintos componentes del cuadro hablen entre ellos de la textura, del color, de las interacciones, del trabajo por hacer, de la pequeña y de la gran historia, de los sentimientos, de la búsqueda, del simbolismo, del mundo interior y, sobre todo, de la sabiduría. ¿Qué hay en la sabiduría?: «un espíritu inteligente, santo, único y múltiple, sutil, ágil, penetrante, inmaculado, cierto, impasible, benévolo, agudo, libre, bienhechor» (Sabiduría 7,22).

There is not a single space in Pilar Insertis’s paintings lacking in insinuations, symbolic meanings, shapes, structures and multi-coloured hiding places that barely veil the treasure of an overwhelming imagination and ardent desires to communicate with the void. What a magnificent spectacle to “invade” the void and imbue it with personal identity! An oeuvre dense with thoughts sculpted in a creative atmosphere of silence accompanied by a world of colours, spaces, emotions, feelings, ideas, tones, “transparent frontiers”... that bring us closer to a universe of totalities within totalities, holons within holons.

We can recognise three elements in her work: body, soul and spectacle. The unhindered, sensitive and dynamic movement of her hands becomes something more than merely a well-trained functionality. It is the tool of the artist’s activity when inspired and engaged in the great creative process.

With great mastery, Pilar Insertis helps “the Other” to emerge from the darkness and manages to transform it into something tangible and nearby, but without depriving it of its inherent nature, allowing the different components of the painting to talk among themselves about the texture, the colour, the interactions, the work still to be done, the little and the great history, the sentiments, the quest, the symbolism, the inner world and, above all, wisdom. What is it about wisdom?: “a spirit that is intelligent, holy, unique, manifold, subtle, mobile, clear, unpolluted, distinct, invulnerable, loving the good, keen, irresistible, beneficent” (Wisdom 7,22).
